Gabe Cruz is a Mexican-American writer-director based in Los Angeles. Originally from San Jose, he prides himself in bringing his love of different genres to pilots and features. Gabe won the Screencraft Pilot Launch Contest and his work has been screened at the Burbank International Film Festival and Dark Comedy Film Festival. He wrote a short film based on his award winning pilot THE KING IS DEAD which was directed by Jenny Grober, and he directed his first short film NIGHT OWLS which screened at LA Shorts International Film Festival and released in 2026.
